Meet Greg L. Adams DMD, MS

Dr. Greg L. Adams is a native of Owensboro, Kentucky. He earned both his undergraduate and Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degrees from the University of Kentucky, followed by a residency in Periodontics at the University of Iowa. He returned to Kentucky in 1992 and has been in private practice in Owensboro since 1993, offering more than 30 years of experience and excellence in periodontics and dental implants.

Dr. Adams is an active member of the Green River Dental Society, the Kentucky Society of Periodontists, American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, the Southern Academy of Periodontology, and the American Academy of Periodontology. He is a past President and past Executive Council member of the Southern Academy of Periodontology, where he served in leadership for over a decade. He is also the past president and held numerous offices within the Green River Dental Society. In 2022, Dr. Adams was nominated and inducted into the prestigious American College of Dentists for his outstanding leadership and exceptional contributions to dentistry and society.

Dedicated to patient care and continuing education, Dr. Adams has participated in three regional study clubs, including the two he has led over the past ten years. He was also selected nationally to join the Spear Study Club; a prestigious network focused on advanced dental education and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Among only a select group of periodontal surgeons in Kentucky, Dr. Adams is certified in both the Pinhole Surgical Technique® and LANAP® (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure). He combines these advanced procedures with state-of-the-art technology to offer patients minimally invasive, highly effective periodontal care.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Adams is married to the former Michelle Johnstone of Drakesboro for over 25 years. They have two adult children, Alex and Ella, and a beloved mini Goldendoodle, Sophia, who’s very much a part of the family.
