Adams & Whitt Periodontics, PSC Privacy Policy
As of February 16, 2026, The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has mandated that all HIPAA-covered entities must update their Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) to include enhanced protections for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment records, aligning with 42 CFR Part 2. Our office takes our patient’s privacy seriously and has updated our privacy policy and educated our team on those changes. With this new ruling, all patients, regardless of how long you have been a patient in our office, must be made aware of the changes, offered our Privacy Policy Notice, and sign stating this has been done. We are posting our Privacy Notice for your review and please contact us if you have any questions.
Thank you – Adams & Whitt Periodontics Team
